As a Unitrends Business Partner, you provide complementary products, solutions and/or services to a similar mid-range market that is served by Unitrends. In addition, the Business Partner’s desire is aligned with Unitrends to provide a greater overall whole solution to serve the market through a close and cooperative business relationship with Unitrends.
A Business Partner may elect to be a 'Referral/Agent' or 'Channel Partner' of Unitrends solutions and/or services. The decision to act as a Referral/Agent or Channel Partner is the decision of the Business Partner, and Unitrends provides appropriate benefits to each type. Specific requirements and benefits of each type of Business Partner relationship are as follows:
Referral/Agent
The Business Partner program defines a Referral/Agent as a business that provides opportunities for Unitrends sales through their own efforts by engaging Unitrends sales personnel within the selling cycle but does not directly resell Unitrends products or services.
Channel Partner
There are several types of Channel Partner relationships to consider. Within the Business Partner program, a Channel Partner offers Unitrends product and/or services as part of its overall business offerings to its customers. They may or may not provide the service and support but always market and sell Unitrends solutions and services to their customers. In addition, Channel Partners may engage Unitrends sales as necessary; however, the Channel Partner is responsible for the complete sales cycle including order acceptance, invoicing and collections.
